Twenty years of Shabbos at the bedside
Over the past 20 years, Child First has been able to accommodate frum families from La Brea, Pico, the Valley, and out of town, allowing them to have a Shabbos experience while staying with their loved ones at the hospital. From Friday night, hot Shabbos meals, shul, and a place to stay with our new hospitality suites, we strive to provide everything families need during this difficult time.
One of the challenges for families has been that there is no eruv in the area, making it difficult for families to carry between the hospital, apartments, and shul. This also prevents families from coming in full comfort and makes it hard to bring essential items back and forth.
